SAVE THE BOOKS

Because the most scandalous thing you can do is read.

WHAT WE DO

Millions of books are thrown out every year. We're out there saving them.

Thousands of donated books awaiting redistribution through Save The Books' book rescue and literacy initiative.

Save The Books is a cultural rescue operation for the printed word - moving books out of waste streams and back into schools, shelters, libraries, homes, sets, stores, campaigns, collections, and into the hands of people who still understand the power of turning the page.

Through book rescue, recycling ini0a0ves, and global literacy programs, we’re redefining sustainable reading while strengthening the spaces that keep books alive.

Fearless RESCUE MISSIONS

Collect — We intercept. Estate sales, library purges, publisher overstock, private collections. We reach the books before the dumpster does.

Curate — We're selective. Naturally. Donations don't get dumped — they're sorted by subject, condition, and audience, so the right book finds the right reader.

Redistribute — We place them well. Schools, shelters, community centers, and neighborhood programs receive books at no cost. Your donation here becomes a library somewhere else.
