BOOKS, RESCUED,

one at a time.

Millions of books are discarded every year while millions of people go without access to them. Save The Books exists in that gap. We collect, curate, and redistribute used books to the communities, classrooms, and readers who need them most — rooted in Los Angeles, built to scale.

Books rescued from LANDFILLS

We intercept books before they hit the landfill — from estate sales, library purges, publishers, and private collections. Every book we take is one less book lost

Volunteers sort donated books in the Save The Books warehouse before redistribution to schools, libraries, shelters, bookstores, hospitals, and community organizations.

Sorted for real readers

Donations don't get dumped. Books are sorted by subject, condition, and audience so they land somewhere they'll actually be read — not shelved in a back room.

Save The Books reusable tote bag supporting book rescue, literacy, and the movement to keep books in circulation.

Put into hands that need them

Schools, shelters, community centers, and neighborhood programs receive books at no cost. A donation here becomes a library somewhere else
